Eduroam Network Upgrade - New Authentication Prompt Starting Monday, March 25, 2019 at 6 p.m.

Please be advised that UMIT will be upgrading the eduroam network on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 6 p.m. There is no expected downtime for the eduroam network.

After the upgrade, if you are off-campus and using the eduroam network, you may receive a prompt to accept a new authentication certificate. (You will only be asked to accept this authentication prompt once per device.) Click here to see what the new prompt will look like.

You will also be able to test your eduroam connection while on University of Miami's Coral Gables and RSMAS campuses. The new eduroam instructional guide also provides information on how to prevent your device from automatically connecting to the eduroam network while at the University of Miami. (Note: While on campus, UM students are strongly encouraged to use CaneNet Wireless, while UM faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to use SecureCanes. Both of these networks provide encryption for wireless communications, making it safer to use wireless devices.)

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the UMIT Service Desk at (305) 284-6565 or help@miami.edu.

Thank you.
