In this update, we'd like to share some resources to help prepare for Fall 2020 teaching, including the recently shared guide, Preparing to Teach a Hybrid Course and additional live events.

GUIDE: During the Fall 2020 semester, many UM faculty will be running their courses in a hybrid mode with some students in the classroom while others participate remotely through videoconferencing. To prepare faculty for this new model, we have created a guide for preparing to teach a hybrid course that is specific to the University of Miami's plans for social distancing.
LIVE DISCUSSION SESSIONS: In this session, we will discuss aspects of the guide and answer questions that you may have about its recommendations or areas that are specific to your courses. If you have questions about teaching in a hybrid mode, register to attend a session led by Allan Gyorke, Associate Vice President for Academic Technologies, Assistant Provost for Educational Innovation and Chief Academic Technology Officer.

This workshop will focus on using digital annotation tools to provide rich, frequent, and timely feedback to students. Our discussions will center on three platforms, in particular - Blackboard Annotate, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Drive - and will be driven by examples and demonstrations.
