TOP HONORS ROLL IN
FOR STUDENTS
IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE DIVISION
Two School of Medicine students recently received top honors in emergency
medicine, making a name for themselves and their institution. Lawrence DeLuca,
a rising sophomore, received the award for best student poster presentation
from the Southeast Society for Academic Emergency Medicine with his abstract
A Comparison of EMS and Triage Blood Pressures, at a recent
conference held by the organization. With another student honor, the prognosis
for continued emergency medicine student research looks promising. Scott
Centers, a rising junior and co-president of the schools Emergency
Medicine Student Association, was awarded a grant from the Emergency Medicine
Residents Association. The funds will support the student groups service
project, File of Life.
