DEADLINE TO UPDATE UM DIRECTORY
INFORMATION IS THIS WEDNESDAY
The annual deadline to update and/or verify your information in the University
Telephone Directory "green pages" is October 16. Because many working
titles were changed to correct typos and inconsistencies, you should double-check
your working title to make sure it is correct. If your home or work addresses/phone
numbers are different from last year, or if you want to change the option that
indicates whether your mailing address is kept private, sign-in to the EASY
System at https://easy.miami.edu/signon.asp,
select the "Verify Personal Information" option, and make any necessary
changes. You must click the "Verify" box for each item before you
can click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. You will
need your UM ID number and PIN to access the system.

FELLOWSHIPS AVAILABLE IN ADOLESCENT
DRUG ABUSE TREATMENT RESEARCH
The Center for Treatment Research on Adolescent Drug Abuse calls for applicants
to its postdoctoral fellowship research training program. The two year program,
funded by NIH/NIDA, will prepare participants for research and academic positions
by developing clinical research competencies in the specialty of adolescent
drug abuse intervention. The research fellows will take part in one or more
studies, which frequently focus on treatment-related culturally specific aspects
of African American and Hispanic adolescents and families, and also will work
with senior investigators in developing new proposals and their own research
ideas. Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or other doctoral degree. Demonstrated
abilities will include research, strong writing, and an interest in treatment
research with adolescents. Visit the Center’s web page at http://www.miami.edu/ctrada
for application information and procedures, or e-mail Howard Liddle, center
director, at hliddle@med.miami.edu.
