CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC NOTICE
Beginning tomorrow morning we expect NW 14th Street to have a third lane open,
with two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane. This should help somewhat
with traffic flow, but construction work affecting traffic on NW 14th Street
will continue into this summer, after which all five lanes will be restored
for the duration of the project. In the interim, faculty and staff are urged
to avoid 14th Street in front of the Professional Arts Center. Alternate
routes should be considered:
To I-95 North or South ... Take Bob Hope Road and continue south to Northwest
11th Street. Turn right on 11th Street to 12th Avenue. Turn right on 12th Avenue
and enter the ramp to eastbound 836, which leads to I-95 north and south.
To 836 West ... Take Northwest 16th Street west by the VA Medical Center to
14th Avenue, then turn left (south) to Northwest 14th Street where you can
turn right and follow signs to 836 … OR take Northwest 20th Street west
to 17th or 27th Avenue. Turn left (south) on either avenue to the 836 westbound
ramp.
