MIAMI PROJECT ON NBC’S “TODAY” SHOW
RESCHEDULED FOR THIS THURSDAY

Tune into the “Today” show on NBC Thursday morning, June 26, for a feature segment on The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. The news report will provide an overview of the center’s research on spinal cord injury, with a focus on co-founder and Miami Dolphins Hall of Famer Nick Buoniconti and his son Marc, who became paralyzed after an injury sustained during a college football game.

The Office of Research has established a listserv to foster research interactions, collaborations, equipment sharing, and sharing of research initiatives. SEE YOUR CREATIVE TALENTS EMERGE
AT FREE ART CLASS THIS WEEKEND

Express your artistic side at a free course this weekend presented by artist and nurse Sandra Walsh. Participants will create mono prints and a small watercolor flower painting. The class will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, at the Winn Dixie Hope Lodge. No prior art experience necessary. Space limited to ten participants. Call 305-243-6778 to register.

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine presents “Living with IPF,” a seminar featuring experts on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a progressive disease characterized by scarring and deterioration of the lungs. The Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis partners with the medical school to host this lecture on June 28, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Lois Pope LIFE Center. Complimentary breakfast will be served.
