ANNOUNCING 2003 HEALTHCARE
PLAN PREMIUMS FOR UM EMPLOYEES

The Office of Benefits Administration announces the following changes in 2003 employee healthcare premiums: Employee Only premiums will remain at $50 per month. Those who sign up for Employee + Spouse/Partner and Employee + Family will see an increase of only $10 per month, a 6 percent and 5 percent increase, respectively. That's excellent, considering that premiums are expected to increase 20 to 25 percent nationally. Those enrolled in the Double Employee tier will pay $90 per month, a $6 reduction from the current rate. Employees enrolled in the Double Employee + Family will pay $180 per month, a $5 increase. Two new tiers have been added that offer savings for single parents. Those enrolling in the Employee + Child or the Employee + Children category will see a $40 reduction in their monthly premium. To view a comparison of this year’s premiums to those of 2002, visit http://www.miami.edu/UMH/CDA/UMH_Main/1,1770,2340-1;15183-3,00.html.
