DR. ROBERT MYERBURG FEATURED
ON WB 39 PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW
Just in time to discuss the upcoming American HeartWalk (September 14, 8 a.m.,
on UM's Coral Gables campus), don't miss Robert Myerburg, M.D., director of
the Division of Cardiology, on WB 39's public affairs show "Lift Every
Voice," scheduled to air at 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 8. The University
of Miami is the number one recipient of American Heart Association dollars in

ANNOUNCING 2003 HEALTHCARE
PLAN PREMIUMS FOR UM EMPLOYEES
The Office of Benefits Administration announces the following changes in 2003
employee healthcare premiums: Employee Only premiums will remain at $50 per
month. Those who sign up for Employee + Spouse/Partner and Employee + Family
will see an increase of only $10 per month, a 6 percent and 5 percent increase,
respectively. That's excellent, considering that premiums are expected to increase
20 to 25 percent nationally. Those enrolled in the Double Employee tier will
pay $90 per month, a $6 reduction from the current rate. Employees enrolled
in the Double Employee + Family will pay $180 per month, a $5 increase. Two
new tiers have been added that offer savings for single parents. Those enrolling
in the Employee + Child or the Employee + Children category will see a $40 reduction
in their monthly premium. To view a comparison of this year’s premiums
to those of 2002, visit http://www.miami.edu/UMH/CDA/UMH_Main/1,1770,2340-1;15183-3,00.html.
