REQUIRED CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
FOR SPONSORED RESEARCH EMPLOYEES

The University has launched a required educational certification program for all faculty/investigators and non-faculty departmental personnel involved in all aspects of sponsored research activities. The program is currently open for non-faculty, departmental personnel who originate, review, reconcile or approve any phase of a sponsored grant or contract document, including proposals, awards, and transactions.

Five sessions are held over two and a half days. Attendance is required for all sessions, and a test will be conducted at the final session. The schedule of classes and on-line registration for non-faculty departmental personnel may be viewed at http://www.miami.edu/development-training. Participants must register for the entire program (sessions one through five in consecutive order). For more information, e-mail Jill Tincher at jtincher@med.miami.edu. The program for faculty/investigators will begin after most non-faculty departmental personnel are certified. Announcements will be made prior to the introduction of the faculty program.
