MIAMI-DADE SALES TAX INCREASE
TO AFFECT CAMPUS PARKING COST
Effective January 1, 2003, the state sales tax in Miami-Dade County increased
from 6.5 to 7 percent, as approved by voters to support the Miami-Dade County
transportation system. In compliance with this sales tax increase, parking
charges from the University will reflect the change. Employees who pay to park
on campus will see this increase in January payroll deduction. The increase
for parking charges will range from 10 to 33 cents per month.
